Beautiful place at night in winter. Illumination turns off at 10pm sharp. Enjoy the lights and watch people struggling through icy spots with their sneakers or fashionable heels. Every year different parts of the park have different decorations

We visited Odori Park in Sapporo in December 2016 and all you can see is snow around you. Even without the Snow Festival, the place is still a beauty and we really enjoyed just walking around with snow everywhere. We also watched the park from the TV Tower Observatory Deck. I wonder how this looks like in Spring...

this part is opposite from our hotel. Really enjoy our trip during winter. At night there is white illumination event. You can see the bright light from TV tower observation point. Really nice.

Lots of snow, lit up with festive lighting, this part of Sapporo was stunning in the evenings. A must visit if you are in Sapporo, and difficult to avoid given that it is right in the center of town.

We were there when the white illumination event took place. The German Christmas fair was splendid too. Must visit from 25 Nov to 24 December each year. You'll find great eats amidst fabulous ambience.

We had a fun time here with my cousin and her family and the kids had a great time playing with snow. The German Christmas Market and Illumination was a fantastic experience.
