We went to ㈱杉山水産 根室かに市場 場外市場店. We ordered the hairy crab in one of the restaurants costing around 4,950 yen and a king crab for abour 12,600 yen. the live King Crab is huge and can be shared among 2~3 adults. Really enjoyed the visit to this small but well laid out market. Enjoyed a very fresh lunch of crab. Not cheap but well worth the taste. Followed by udon with shell fish. Be prepared to pay up to £70 for a reasonable side snow crab fir lunch.

The Melons sold here are really sweet & tasty! Some of the stores can also pack the seafood for one to bring home. Perhaps because we just visited The Hakodate Morning Market & had such an amazing experience, we found this market less vibrant & much smaller.…
