If you look through the Cenotaph down to the Atomic Bomb, you will see the peace flame. Then wander down to have a look at it. Thought provoking.

The modern monument of outstretched hands holding the peace flame has real impact. The remains of the dome can be seen behind the flame.

This is a memorial, like a pair of outstretched hands, where the flames would burn until all nuclear weapons are banned. You can see it from the Cenotaph. Beautiful and meaningful.

This monument was created to remind of the horrors of the atomic bomb. Spent the day exploring the history of the atomic bomb from WW2. Do recommend checking this monument out.

Spent an afternoon in Hiroshima. The Peace Flame reminds us of the horror and destructiveness of the bomb and that we must all work to prevent it from ever occurring again.
