Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I took the Shin from Iwakuni station which is about a 15 minute ride. Cost was about $20 USD. Keep in mind that you must pay cash in yen at the ticket machine. It would not accept my credit cards or ATM card from USA.

Upon arrival I went out the wrong way to get to the bus heading to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial museum. Use google maps and eventually you’ll get on the correct side of where you want to go.

The station has endless food options (restaurants, 7-11, cafe, markets) but not a lot of places to sit. I ended up sitting near the children’s play area on the way back as I had an hour to wait for my train. There are limited lockers to rent if you don’t want to haul your bags or suitcase around but not sure if they were available or not on a Thursday.

Good signage around and I had a question about my non-reserved Shinkansen ticket and found a helpful English speaking agent to assist me.

Lots of shops in this station and the one we found most fascinating was the Lindt shop. They had a special edition flavor called sakura for cherry blossom season. We loaded up on these for gifts to take home.
