Very easy to access from Sannomiya with a five minute walk from either JR Station, Hanshin Station or Hankyu Station. Beautiful and traditional shrine with many traditional Japanese weddings on weekends. Lately in the evening there is a crowd of younger generation at the entrance of the Shrine as it appears this Shrine is a major Pokemon Station and as... More

Very cute path through small woods with a babbling brook if you walk around to the back of the shrine. From main altar walk to the left side. Stop at this shrine on your way to the hiking trial to the waterfall.

Situated in the heart of Kobe it is one of very few traditional Japanese buildings that can be seen in central Kobe. It is free for the public and you can make a wish or prayer by tugging at the rope hanging in the temple. It is a very nice place to take pictures. If you are in Kobe this... More

This Shinto shrine is conveniently located in the central are of Kobe City and offers a very pleasant contrast to the rest of architecture and hurly burly of the city. Well worth a visit that includes a small grove of sacred trees, main and sub shrines and a lake.

This large Shinto shrine is right in downtown Kobe and is quite impressive. There are quite a few wedding ceremonies on Saturdays and Sundays and these are very interesting. There is also a small Japanese garden, under some expansive trees on the north side of the compound, with a small stream and waterfall. Don't miss this. Not quite sure if... More
