This is a very nice Aquarium. It has a Dolphin show that is similar to Sea World and is very professionally done. The exhibits are many and the tanks are professionally displayed. It is crowded on weekends with Families, so try to go during the...More

Not many animals on display. The dolphin show was pretty average. I've been to quite a few aquariums and this one is in the underwhelming category. If you want to see a cool aquarium, go to the one in Kobe.

The best parts for us were seeing live Japanese Giant Salamanders (huge and very unusual) and the large community tank (amazing schooling fish) and a totally wacky dolphin show. It was like the craziest Japanese TV show... no idea what was going on... but there...More

English version below Pardon my Japanese please, I am not a native speaker ❤︎🙏🏻 京都は海からは結構離れてから、どんな動物が京都水族館いか考えることができない。 I was thinking what kind of sea animal that Kyoto has to offer because it is located in the middle of the Honshu Island, not anywhere near coastline. However...More

The Japanese have a culturally different approach to dolphin shows, though I haven't seen that many. It was choreographed and included having the crowd make synchronized dolphin noises with straws. It was all in Japanese, so it was not educational, but it was fun. It...More

I love animals, so I always check out zoos and aquariums when travelling. This aquarium, though small, was perfect. My favourite place was a little cushioned area in front of their biggest tank. You could lay back and watch the sting rays, sharks and fish...More

This aquarium’s highlight was the dolphin show. Also, there is a outdoor place next to the penguins that is AMAZING. There were professional sea lions swimming and a whenever they were going to bump into each other, they just swiftly moved in another direction! The...More

We had a great time. We went on Christmas day which is supposed to be crowded, but we went from the morning so it was quiet and we could enjoy at our own pace.
