Osaka City Central Hall, located near Keihan Naniwabashi station, is a symbol of Nakanoshima island. The building with red bricks is an important cultural heritage and a good example of the architecture in Taisho Period. Nearby there are a museum and a library. It is agreeable to take a walk around.

I visit this place on December to watch illumination show. It is free for admission. The light and sound is jaw dropping, very wonderful indeed. Good luck to Japanese people to watch something like this every year. The government must invest a lot for the show. Look at my pictures and I think the pictures will tell better than words.... Osaka always been clean and full of majestic views. Coming from Philippines I enjoy walking around Osaka. Their city hall surely speaks of this city.

The Architecture is from the NEO Renaissance of Japan (The Meiji Period of the 1800s). The River Park adjacent to City Hall plus the burgeoning cafes alongside the River and the park make this a more and more interesting place to visit. It is near Yodogawa station on the Midosuji line and not far from UMEDA and OSAKA JO stations.... More

I came here for a short time, nothing is too special. The river is so clear, good for walking at night and try some japanese street food, not so expensive.

I came here during one of the illumination events in the fall and there was free entrance to the central hall. The inside is very intricate, old-fashion european style with high ceilings. It has a concert hall with small, wooden chairs. American M-sized people would just just fit, but there is absolutely no leg room. Forget about getting up and... More

We went on a late afternoon. Did not go into the building. Only took some surrounding pictures. Nice to take a slow stroll along the nice breezy river. Many modern commercial buildings around the area and makes the Central Hall outstanding.
