I came here during one of the illumination events in the fall and there was free entrance to the central hall. The inside is very intricate, old-fashion european style with high ceilings. It has a concert hall with small, wooden chairs. American M-sized people would just just fit, but there is absolutely no leg room. Forget about getting up and... More

We went on a late afternoon. Did not go into the building. Only took some surrounding pictures. Nice to take a slow stroll along the nice breezy river. Many modern commercial buildings around the area and makes the Central Hall outstanding.

We were able to take in the "preview of the light festival" and it is spectacular. there are different spots around Osaka, you can even take a tour of the all, but we were at the Central hall and it was wonderful.

This building seems so out of place amidst the rest of architecture. Just saw from outside and across the street.

Osaka is ideal for travelers. Clean, organised, not too big, not too small. Ritz-Carlton Osaka is the best hotel in the world. Try to use the Itami Airport as much as possible. There are buses going to everywhere in front of the airport. To Osaka Station is only 640 Yen. Avoid Kansai Airport------too far.

We visited Osaka on the Diamond Princess cruise ship. At departure the locals had arranged for a young band to see us off. It was raining and the departure was delayed. The band and associates kept on playing with great enthusiasm. It was a delight and one of the highlights of our holiday. None of the other ports did this,... More

Osaka City Central Public Hall has become a symbol of Osaka. A public hall for local citizens that has become a symbol of Osaka. It is a nice building made of red bricks and the dome roof made of bronze.

Other than the beautiful architecture, there is nothing much to see inside the building. Just many rooms for learnings and meetings. Beside this building is the library , post office and Japan bank with nice buildings too. There is a big canal along these structures where a boat ride is possible
