Just go to the JR Umeda station and you are in the heart of this area. It starts with the station itself which is huge and well designed. Not as spectacular as for instance Kyoto station but it comes close, very close. Furthermore there are...More

Great panoramic view of the city. At the cafe on the upper floor relax for a drink. Access from the 3rd Floor. Discount for senior citizens to enter.

Umeda is an area which houses many attractions of Osaka city like Sky observatory, Hep Five Ferries Wheel. Also it houses big deparmental stores where you can spend hours together shopping. The Osaka Station is another attraction Spend an evening here shopping and dining.

Other than the escalator connecting the two building, nothing special. A more quite area, no public transport to go other than taxi.

Not so crowded like Namba and plenty of good shopping places and good food. Easily accessible by subway and trains.

Lots of dining places, difficult time selecting which restaurant to try. Less crowded than in city itself. Sushi joints are superb here. Definitely will return next time for all the eating here.

Kind of expensive, but worth it! great location, great view and a must do in Osaka. Worth it and make sure you go before the sunset so you catch it a bit during the day and then in the night!

Conveniently located in the heart of Osaka where tourists can shop and dine at the same spot. I was in Osaka for Xmas, everywhere was filled with festive ambiance.

Local trains get you to the central Osaka district station, not shinkansen. Shinkansen from Tokyo stop at Shin-Osaka, further north.

Walk from JR Osaka or Umeda station (same area). It take about 10-15 minutes to the entrance of the elevator hall.
