Lots of very disturbing photos of the death and devastion in Nagasaki and the history leading up to the dropping of the bomb. Interesting to know the story and hopeful that it is never repeated.

With technology what it is, especially in Japan, I expected a much better display. This place probably hasn't been improved since it was built. Entire place needs to be improved and updated. Too dark to see anything. Not impressed.

A visit to Nagasaki with out a stop here is just not a visit worth making. The museum tells the story of the bombing and the events that led up to the war and the aftermath of the nuclear blast. Well done and can be very popular when the cruise ships are in port. It is close to the Peace... More

A stunning reminder of the tragic events that took place here. The museum and the peace gardens are used by the people of Nagasaki to remind the world that nothing on this earth is worth setting off another atomic bomb for. The fallout from 1945 still remains, the museum sends chills through you as you read the captions on the... More

If you enjoy history and reading up about the past, then this museum is worth a visit. It's a nicely laid out museum - it takes you through pre-nuclear bomb events and the impact of it after it occurred. Keeping in mind that it's all presented from a Japanese point of view.

Not as big as the one in Hiroshima but this small museum dedicated to the bombing of Nagasaki in WWII gets it all across.

While I think the museum in Hiroshima is better presented I still think this is a must visit while in Nagasaki to gain insight into what happened all those years ago. The museum has plenty to offer and is presented in a serious but not overwhelmingly depressing matter, although you will be hard pressed not to be emotional as you... More

We brought our 9 and 11 year old! We value the importance of teaching them about history! Although, some of the displays are graphic, they offered teachable moments.

This marked my first visit to Nagasaki. I know about the history, and I know what had happened to the city on that day in August some 70 years ago. The museum provided a lot of information to help me understand the damage which caused thousands of citizens died. The nuclear bomb made a disaster on mankind. I learned a... More
