Meganebashi means in Japanese translation of the Ocular bridge. Its name comes from the" glasses " formed by two arches of the bridge and their reflection in the water. We did not see the reflection, because we looked at it in the evening. Meganebashi was...More

It would be best to visit Meganebashi on a bright sunny day to capture high - quality photographs. There are several stone stairs at each sides of the bridge for visitors to explore the area. However, these stairs are pretty steep and thus only recommended...More

When the sun reflects the bridge onto the water, it looks like a pair of spectacles. It is a beautiful sight.

If you are nearby go and take a look but in my opinion it’s not worth a detour and there are many better things to see in town.

Part of the walking tour from our cruise. Not anything spectacular, but quaint and different. One of several stone bridges on the river.

You can make great pictures here when the water is calm, hence the name "spectales bridge". You can hardly imagine your in middle the city.

Didn’t realize until after I had been to the bridge that it had historical significance. It doesn’t stand out as anything spectacular but it is quite old. I will likely more readily remember the many beautiful koi fish swimming around in the canal.

We had a very pleasant stroll along the stream in this area, on a sunny afternoon. The Spectacles Bridge is a feature and very photogenic, particularly if you can get the reflections.
