Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pretty crowded when I was there. Lots of children running around, crossing the river on the stepping stones, lots of fun, but have to say the bridge's reputation is better than the bridge itself. Anyway, it's famous, so you gotta see it.

Meganebashi (Spectacles Bridge ) is not like any Bridge. You can see the artwork this Bridge exhibits. Once there, you will also see heart-shaped stones showing how people value love in Nagasaki. Thank you for taking me to this place and explaining things to me in a lovely way.

Beside Peace Park and Glover Garden, Meganebashi is certainly one of the most visited tourist attractions in Nagasaki. Indeed, this stone bridge is beautiful and should be a nice objective of photo shoot. Around the bridge, there is a pleasant riverside promenade.

I really enjoyed visiting Meganebashi during my tour with Timo-san, Yuri-san and the other Huber guides. This a great sight-seeing attraction of Nagasaki that you should not miss out on. Meganebashi is a crucial part of Nagasaki's history and is a wonderful place to relax with friends. I truly recommend it to anyone visiting Nagasaki. There are many shops around the bridge too, so you'll never run out of things to do! Thanks Huber guides for showing me around this awesome Nagasaki tourist attraction!

It is one of the three most famous bridges in Japan, along with Tokyo's Nihonbashi and Yamaguchi's Kintaikyo Bridge, and is the most famous bridge in Nagasaki.
The illuminated Meganebashi Bridge is beautiful. Be sure to see it at night.
It is said that the name came from the fact that the bridge and its shadow reflected on the river surface look like "glasses."

This view is free, so there shouldnt be anything to stop you from going there.. either you feeling lonely or trying to be romantic.. come here... the best time to visit is before the sun set, so you can see the bridge is day light and with night light...totally different feel to it....
and dont forget to do the best act, find the love stone along the banks of river .. watch very closely... we spend 15 minutes just to look for it....

A good photo taking spot in Nagasaki, it would be nice to pass by and see this historical spectacles-looking bridge. The reflection of the river together with the arch of the bridge does make it look like one. i think at night, it would also look pretty too! Originally built in 1634, there’s the heart stone in the walls alongside the bridge area, see if you can find it!

This bridge was built in 1634 by a Chinese monk. It’s the oldest stone bridge in Japan. The double arches resembles a pair of spectacles when reflected in the water. The bridge looks better

In my opinion, Meganebashi (Spectacles Bridge) is the most remarkable stone bridge that spans the Nakashima River in downtown Nagasaki. The bridge, that gets its name from the resemblance it has to a pair of spectacles when reflected in the river water, is a popular tourist attraction and is designated as an important cultural property.

I cannot see what all the fuss is about. I appreciate engineering and structural wonders but this bridge is small and does not boast anything spectacular. The image of spectacles was lost on me as I could not readily see this "illusion".
