Come and visit Lazat Malaysian Cooking School and bring back an authentic taste of Malaysia! Our hands-on cooking classes are held Monday to Saturday and presented in English by entertaining Malaysian instructors. We are located just outside Kuala Lumpur city centre and our school is furnished with purpose made demonstration tables and individual cooking stations. Each day of the week we teach a different ethnic menu and provide detailed explanations of ingredients and cooking methods. Students individually prepare their own 4-course lunch, usually consisting of an appetizer, main course, side dish and dessert. Malaysian cuisine is a unique fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Baba-Nonya flavors, drawing upon our country's rich history as an historical crossroads for explorers and traders from around the globe. At LaZat our goal is to bring Malaysian cooking to the world by sharing with you our family recipes, which we have savored and perfected over generations.

Came here as a group of friends to have a tour of the wet market and a cooking class. The group voted on Simply Thai cuisine. I voted for Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Classic menus but was outvoted. The driver promptly picked us up at 8:05 AM in a van and drove us to the TTDI wet market where our... More

I visited KL with one of my friends and we were keen to learn to cook some traditional Malay food considering Malaysia is well knows for their cuisine. We are so glad we came across this school. First we met our guides at the local market just outside KL CBD. This was awesome we learnt about local and jungle food... More

We were met at the wet market and shown around the various stalls where they described all the local produce and spices. Breakfast at the market was sweet tea and roti channa. It was then on to the cooking school where we had a very good teacher show us how. To make various local malay dishes. The cooking school is... More

I can't say anything bad about our experience with Ana and her team of wonderful cooks. The ambiance is pure Malay, her stories of growing up were enlightening, and the cooking was brilliant. If you miss this experience in Kuala Lumpur you haven't been to Malaysia. Ana thank you for your lovely hospitality and teaching. We will be back. (Need... More

We (three of us) joined the class on December 24, 2016. It was really a great experience. We were picked up at the hotel around 8:00 am and went to the local market where the guide was waiting for us and took around. Since she knew the people working there very well, she picked up herbs, vegies, spices etc and... More
