Our guide Kiran was amazing! First of all right at the start of our tour it started storming, she had brought for everyone in our group plastic ponchos which was very thoughtful. She then talked about the history of the city and how the food and diverse cultures came to be in Malaysia which was so good as it have us a better understanding of the food. We tried a few noodle dishes, made roti channai which I wasn't expecting but was so fun to do, had whole fish, satay, an assortment of fruits which I wasn't expecting to like (I loved) and durian which I've had before. Not a fan of it but still tried anyways. We finished as promised with amazing nasi lemak and truly the best mango smoothie I've ever had! Overall the night was so much fun, great value for money as you get a history lesson as well as great food!

Kiran is such a great host, she is friendly and warm, engaging and put me so at ease. If you want someone who is passionate about her city, the food it creates, and the people that live there, then Kiran is the one for you. After the tour she even sent through food suggestions for other countries, so I'm also set for my future travel plans!

The group I was with on my tour were also what contributed to an awesome experience and I highly recommend that you book as soon as possible! Being my first time in Malaysia, this tour has left me wanting to experience more of what this beautiful country has to offer.

Thank you Kiran!!

We had Kiran as our host and she was amazing. She gave us a great introduction to Malaysian food and drinks. She also showed us great places to eat, where tourists would probably never eat. At the same time she showed us some great sights in this beautiful city, which becomes even more magical when it gets dark.
We can truly recommend Kiran and Get Your Guide.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Sambal Streets food tour in Kuala Lumpur is an experience that is nothing short of outstanding. The tour guide, Stephen, is not only informative but also incredibly knowledgeable, making the tour a delightful learning journey about local cuisine and culture.

The tour takes you through the heart of Chow Kit, a vibrant local area away from the typical tourist trail. Mingling with the locals gives you a genuine feel of the city's pulse and an authentic taste of its culinary scene.

The street food is simply incredible. If you've never tried Asian street food before, this tour is a must. You get to eat where the locals eat, sampling a variety of dishes that are bursting with flavors. Each bite leaves you extremely satisfied, yet craving for more.

The tour doesn't just fill your stomach, it also leaves you with a deep appreciation for Kuala Lumpur's rich food culture. It's an experience that makes you want to go back, explore, and sample more of what the city has to offer.

In conclusion, the Sambal Streets food tour is a five-star experience that is worth every penny. Whether you're a foodie or a curious traveler, this tour is a feast for the senses that you wouldn't want to miss.

The tour was a great Experience! Had foods I would not have ordered myself, because I just never know what to ask for. Steve broadened our culinary horizon, while telling us a lot about Malaysia and Malaysian cuisine. Steve made sure everyone had as much food as they would liked and even offered to order more, but that wasn’t necessary for sure!

We thoroughly enjoyed A Chef's Tour KL with our guide, Kiran. Her passion for food and extensive knowledge of Kuala Lumpur's culinary scene made the tour a delightful and informative experience. The selection of eateries showcased the rich diversity of Malaysian cuisine, and Kiran's insights added a special touch to each dish. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to share anecdotes about local food culture made the tour memorable. We especially appreciated that it was in a non-touristy location, providing an authentic and immersive culinary experience. We highly recommend A Chef's Tour KL with Kiran for anyone looking to explore the vibrant flavors of Kuala Lumpur.

Kiran the tour guide was SO knowledgeable about her culture and the glorious food the locals would cook for us tourists. By taking us around the vendors, stalls and market areas we got to get a real good understanding for how life is in that area. Kiran was fantastic at explaining the backstory behind the foods, or the way they make the foods and in so much detail which allowed us to get a grasp of what they stand for as a community. She was so friendly, warm, easy to talk with and loved talking about her culture. The people of Kuala Lumpur are so loving and open to sharing their expertise in spreading their foods which have been passed down from generation to generation.

I had a food tour with Steve (and Sam joined also another guide) in a group of 7 from 5-9pm. This was a great time to do the tour as towards the end you saw the lights of the city and you finished by the towers getting to see the lovely lights.

The food we tasted was great and Steve explained where it was from and history behind. We tried a variety of dishes and the instructions had said come hungry and I only had breakfast and a coffee/snack but yet the last stop defeated me!!!

There was so much food we got to try.
As a solo person I couldn’t share with a buddy so only suggestion is maybe for stops towards end have 3/4 dishes for table so everyone can share and maybe not one each? So that way we can get to end and try all!!!

Think I tried most of the food from the fruit to the drinks to the meats and fish and all, was so good and would recommend this tour.

This street food tour was amazing. We had the wonderful Kiran show us round, she brought a fantastic sense of humour and her passion for Malaysia and it’s cuisine was second to none. The neighbourhoods we went to were very off the beaten track and the food was exceptionally authentic and delicious. We tried so many different dishes, fruits and drinks and we got a lot of information about them. You could have asked for more food if you wanted it but we were stuffed and we shared split every dish. Strongly recommend this tour

Our guide Kiran was full of knowledge, not only about the food but also about the neighbourhood and culture. We also got to have a go at pinning out our roti. The tour was well paced so we didn’t feel full all the time. Although price might seem a bit steep it’s a great way to experience some street food I would not think to try myself

Street food tour with 15+ tastings. Kiran was an outstanding guide, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, adapting the tour to the needs of those on it, and also managed to bring he us back to the Petronas Towers so we could walk (waddle…) back to our hotel. Highly recommended.
