Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Business has concentrated in the Pavilion end of this short street which used to offer all kinds of shopping before. Sungei Wang and Lot 10 on opposite sides of the monorail have little of interest nowadays, Fahrenheit with Uniqlo is more worth a visit. The large street food area is at the back of the new metro station.

If you like a good night out with bars and restaurants ;
Take a grab to The Rabbit Hole pub which is at the top of the bar street .
Head down the street with loads of lively decents pubs/bars to choose from with beers at uk city centre prices .
Carry on walking and you will get to Jalan Alor eating street which is full of open air restaurants .
A great night in a lively safe area

The new Panda Eyes multistore dominates the sleepier stretch of this short street where most tourists will find themselves. For classier shopping there is Pavilion at the other end and many restaurants in between. The popular outdoor food court is down a lane among the budget accomodation.

Bukit Bintang is the center for Kuala Lumpur. It is a very beautiful city for me. A city that never sleeps. This street is fill with night life, great shopping centre and amazing street food. It can take up to a day or 2 just to see everything in Bukit BIntang. The streets are always fill with people.

You'll be drawn to this popular spot if you are staying in KL. It has a wonderful mix of street theatre and up market shopping boutiques. Hop on the Monorail to visit day or night its always busy. Venture around the back streets for hidden gems - restaurants or cafes. Some of the local kebab shops are very popular. Be careful of bag snatchers in this area especially those on bikes when crossing the road.

We came here because initially we wanted to have massage by the blind at one of the shop in Sungei Wang, but no slots even though we went twice.

Hence, I settle for a leg massage while my friend a body massage.

My leg massage is gd but my friend isn't that good.

Nonetheless, we were not sure if tipping is same as in Bangkok, but the massagers were not waiting at the counter to be tipped.

Nothing much in Bukit bintang area, except with some street performers.

BB park is no more lively. All old restaurants are gone from that small area.Couple of new ones opened but not to our food taste buds. Few are closed.

However, area around it, i.e. Bukit Bintang street , Pavillion area etc is bustling with people, tourist and eateries, stores.

This is an excellent place to go at night to find a bar to sit out and watch the world go by. It has an energy that is missing in a lot of the areas around major hotels. It is close to much of the metro so just grab a cab and head over.

Bukit Bintang is the heart of the night time activities. It is full of bars, "play centres" and just people everywhere. Take caution here as many people are out to scam you and everything else.

I recently went on my honeymoon to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi). Before my trip I made sure I went through every article on safety and things to take care of in the country, which was really alien to us. And much to my relief every article stated that it is a relatively safe place and there is absolute safety for you as well as your money. After my trip, I would really share a few pointers for anyone travelling there. Both Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi were lovely. The people were really friendly and helpful. My husband and I felt safe walking the streets of these places. But one thing I would like to warn everyone is the danger of being mugged. Even the locals there warned us not to wander the streets after 10pm. And the worst surprise for us was that our ATM card was skimmed meaning the card was replicated somehow and we lost almost a 100,000INR. It was an unreal experience for us. So I would highly advise everyone travelling there to please check the ATM for any fraud number entry board or camera on the machine through which they can record your PIN. Make sure you hide your PIN while entering, with your other hand. Be careful while loitering the streets and always be aware of your surrounding. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience which I would not forget. You will totally enjoy the stay :)
