- Melinda BCreswick, Australia24 contributionsAn amazing experience. The best! This was I’ve of my favourite activities in three weeks in SE Asia. The batik was fascinating and great fun but it’s the interaction with Emilia that made it so much fun. She’s hilarious, warm and welcoming. Definitely no hard sell. Her work is astonishing and available to purchase at very reasonable prices if you choose to. I contacted her via WhatsApp to arrange a time which worked out really well. I paid when I got there (she also has credit card facilities). The studio is on the ground floor of her house so you feel like you’ve almost made a friend by the time you leave.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 28 September 2023

- Intan4 contributionsGreat activity for everyoneMy son joined the tie dyed t-shirt activity and he had so much fun. Great activity for everyone and we got nice tie-dyed t-shirts at the end of the session. The duration of the activity is about 1 hour. My son was given a new white shirt for the activity. They will guide you throughout the whole fun process and at the end, my son got a tie dyed shirt to be worn the next day.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 30 July 2024

Our family of 5 did a T shirt stamping and painting workshop with Emilia on our recent holiday in Malaysia. We had been a few times before, and done different activities (picture painting and canvas bag painting as well as previous T shirts too) this time was just as good as the previous times. Emilia has a rich knowledge in batik techniques, and was skilled and patient in teaching and helping the kids and us too, all while still allowing all of us, even the 2 year old (3 kids aged 15, 11, 2), to do it themselves and have creative freedom. We all had a fantastic chilled and fun afternoon creating different designs, all while munching on yummy food from the cafe and me drinking great coffee! A great place for a family activity for all ages, with a hospitable, friendly host. We will definitely be back!

MyBatik is offering an attractive Virtual Team Building package; Virtual Batik Painting Workshop. Today is my company Virtual Team Building event, and we have subscribed to the package. It is a great and interesting experience. My colleagues love it. Ms Emilia also shares her knowledge on Batik which help enlighten us on Batik especially to our expatriate colleague.

Emilia is a very talented and experienced Batik artist which is evident from her workshop and home.
I attended the batik bag course. She is a relaxed and approachable teacher who is willing to answer any questions. 90 minutes is a perfect time to chose your design and paint the bag and Emilia kindly offered to forward mine when dried to another address.
Emilia herself is delightful with bags of enthusiasm. I highly recommend this course to anyone.

Late review: I visited this hidden gem months ago to buy something local as a wedding present for a friend overseas. Emilia gave clear instructions on how to get to her batik studio and I was warmly greeted. In addition to purchasing the batik placemats + batik coasters, I also got a tote bag to pack them as well as a free batik greeting card.
I was also looking to buy a farewell gift for a colleague at the time - decided on a batik silk shawl workshop to be claimed by the recipient.
Lastly, I bought a cute batu Seremban set and Emilia even threw in a batik card holder to boot!
Great service and highly recommended!

We ordered 250 batik luggage tags to be delivered to South Korea. This is also the second time that we make an order. Emilia has done a great job in making the products, I hope more people get to know the batik technique and have a great time with MyBatik.

Glad that Emilia was able to accommodate us for our last minute plan, on top of being such a friendly and warm host. It was an enjoyable experience for all of us, painting batik in a quaint ambience. We were lucky to make new friends too! Highly recommended for an off day activity catching up with family and friends!
