Good in you are interested of what they show

The place is well maintained and very well designed. It would be better to know what they are showing before you go, so you make sure that you would be interested.

Thoughtful and well-curated exhibitions

I’ve been to two exhibitions here, and both were excellent. The current show, Chia Yu Chian: Private Lives, is well worth a visit. There are often Saturday talks, gallery tours and workshops. You will find a pleasant gift and coffee shop on the same floor as the gallery.

Two Mountains Photography Project 3.0

This was my first visit. Located in the CBD area, the Gallery is on Level 3 and 5. This was a photo exhibit, three Japanese visiting East Malaysia to photo Mount Kinabalu and three Malaysians visiting Mount Fuji in Japan. The exhibits were presented in video, framed photos, a power-point and large vinyl black and white prints.

Beautiful small Gallery. The Artist travelled a lot around Asia wich you can see in his art! There is also a very interesting video about the art and life of latiff mohidin.
We totally enjoyed the gallery and also the gift shop is worth a visit!

Always closed and never posted online

So this is my second attempt to take my children to this very small museum!
They do not post their activities. If you desire going, I’d call the day of visit. The visit section does not say anything other than hours and closed during public holidays. There is another section called programs on the website. One is expected to review all the programs and know that the museum is closed during these events. To make matters worse, it’s inaccurate!! Today I went at 4:20 pm. There was a program listed at 5 pm...but a lecture was occurring and the museum staff refused to allow entrance stating a lecture was occurring between 3-5!!! No courtesy!!!!

Lovely small museum, located on the 5th floor of the ILHAM Tower. There isn't a permanent collection here, but instead they have visiting exhibitions that showcase the region's art. During my visit, they had the art of the locally famous Latiff Mohidin. It was a very nice collection and if you're interested in surreal art, this one might be up your alley. He was influenced by both European and local artists. Equally impressive to me are the sculptures in front of the building made by the famous Ai Weiwei. All in all, a great experience. Give yourself about 90 minutes to view the gallery and visit the gift shop.

The staff here are very friendly and the facilities are top notch. There is a gift shop on the 5th floor and a small library and cafe on the 3rd floor.

If you are coming by train from KL Sentral, take the metro to Ampang Park station, which is only one stop after the KLCC (Petronas Towers) stop on the Kelana Jaya line. From Ampang Park station, it is a 5-10 minute walk to the ILHAM tower, one of the tallest buildings in Malaysia.

Note: The museum is closed on Monday and public holidays.

Excellent Gallery
Aug 2018 • Friends
I went to this gallery last week as a part of a class trip. The exhibition that is on right now is 'Latiff Mohidin's Pago Pago' and it was spectacular. The gallery itself is spacious and well maintained and the exhibitions that are organized are really interesting. The stuff in the gift shop are really one of a kind too. I would really love to come back if I have the opportunity to.
