Wonderful performance, extremely informative in the perfect setting of well maintained colonial Manila. Learned a lot about Philippino history in just 3 hours, Carlos doesn't shy away from constructive criticism, which I find courageous and refreshing. Bravo to the entire team for smoothly organizing a...More

I heard alot of good reviews about the ‘walk this way’ tour and was really excited to check it out for our vacation to manila. Unfortunately, I think it’s overrated, overacting and over priced (for what we experienced). The theatrics were the unique proposition for...More

Thank you very much for your review and we appreciate your initiative to let us know. Please accept my deepest apologies for the discomfort you felt regarding the script's content. Yes. The tragic and complex history of Manila can be a little bit jarring, it...More

To go through 2.5hrs of Manila traffic to be on-time for a 430pm tour and realized that the showman did not show up until 30minutes later tells me that he doesn’t respect people’s time and schedule. Caught him shouting at his staff for forgetting his...More

I deeply apologise for that delay. Our delay and the lack of our laptop was due to reasons that were personal and I have no excuse. I really shouldn't have been so curt with my brother - in - law and other family members who...More

Thank you for the heads up. I shall try my best to modulate my voice as well as my...um feelings. Sigh. It's true. It's very hard for me to present Manila's complex and somewhat dark history without um... feeling something. Nevertheless, I think it's worth...More

This is by far the best tour we've ever been on! Carlos is an absolute legend of a tour guide and performer - throughout the tour he interacted with our whole tour group, was very entertaining and ensured that what was really a lesson in...More

The most memorable and moving walking tour that I have seen. Carlos did a brilliant job today and in short 2 hours, I know the history of Manila, walk the streets and hear the stories of struggles and bravery of Filipinos. What a way to...More

I wish Carlos could work with teachers around the world to bring history to life like he does! I'd certainly have studied it if it was taught like this. No book or museum could give the same experience. A historian, activist and actor is the...More

This tour should be the first thing you do when you arrive in Manila. Carlos managed to explain in 3.5 hours the history and psyche of filipinos culture. Then you won’t see the city and the country in the sane way. Like me, you will...More

Truly unique way to learn about Manila’s history. Hundreds of years of history explained in a combination of lecture, walking tour and stand-up comedy. Passionate and brutally honest in parts but always entertaining. If you only do one tourist thing in Manila, do this.

The tour with Carlos is one of the best things I have ever done. Carlos explains the history and identity of Manila and the Filipinos in a way that is highly engaging and doesn’t hide anything from the highs to the lows. Thank you Carlos....More

I would ask the hotel to book you a car and driver as Ortigas is far from where the tour takes place. Expect heavy traffic - I would allow 2 hours. It is always hot in Manila so bring water, wear light clothing. Cost is... More

It's very feasible for seniors. No large staircases and there are wheelchairs available should they need it. At that time of year, I hold my tours later in the afternoon so it isn't so hot. No worries at all.
