This place is a UNESCO world heritage site in Manila. The church itself was renovated several times due to fire and earthquake but the facade still speaks a lot about its past. What makes it unique is the Chinese influence in the architecture and design. The stone lions guarding the church are proof of such.

You can have your self spiritual recollection inside the church which is located inside the walled Intramuros, near the more famous Manila Cathedral.

Lots of interesting art and a feeling that you are back in the Spanish Colonial era. Also a good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of old Manila. It has more than 200 years of history and there are people for a small fee that can recant the history and all the famous visitors it has received...

This almost 200 years old cathedral is really beautiful as far as Asia is concerned. You could feel the awe when you step into the cathedral. We were not impressed at all with the chaotic traffic of the city, however this cathedral and the Intramural area is well worth a visit. The top attractions in the city of Manila.

If you are in Manila, is a place you have to visit. It is the oldest church in town, impressive construction.

Intramuros is the old walled area of Manila. It is vibrant and wonderful and not to be missed. San Augustin Church is also not to be missed. It is beautiful. There has been a church on the site since 1571 and San Augustin is the third structure on the site - started in 1581 and completed in 1607. Amazingly it... More
