Come here when the place opens to avoid crowds. This area is well preserved. The Jose Rizal Museum is interesting and informative and helps you understand why he is so revered by Filipinos. The visitors center is helpful. This is a great place for a walk and to start your Intramuros tour.

Lots to see in history there,, unfortunately lots of construction and a large portion close to the public now… An amazing structure and spreads all around the area…. Worthwhile to visit…

From Spanish colonization to the execution of the National hero and world War I I. This fort is an excellent place to see a glimpse of the past. There are street vendors right outside the entrance so be prepared.

This place is a big part of our history, the old artifacts, the old architecture is a plus. And it was clean and nice to roam around.

The 16th century fort is in itself a central part of Philippines history. It's easily accessible by taxi and quite large so not at all crowded. The structure is a mixture of the original 16th century Spanish walls and buildings, with many damaged remains from the WW2 bombings the site incurred. We spent a fascinating three hours walking around the... More
