The Ankara Castle and its environs is in a much better state now compared to just 10 years ago, thanks to the restoration works of Ankara Municipality. There are many shops and restaurants you can enjoy while walking around the castle.

Ankara castle is a nice place to visit. You can find traditional shops. Most of the time it is crowded. If you go to the top, you can have a good view of Ankara.

There is nothing of interest left but the castle does offer a panoramic 360 degree view on Ankara. However, Ankara's skyline is not pretty. In contrast, strolling through the streets of the citadel is nice, one feels miles and ages away from the busy city...More

we visited this place in evening,No entry fee to this destination. We had to park our car near the gate and then walk to the castle. From top of the castle you get good view of the city.
