went out with friends on their pontoon boat while we were in town. Calm waters, beautiful views of homes and some statues. There are places to pull your boat into to get something to eat, or actually stop at the park to swim

Portage Lakes State Park is a great place for families to picnic, swim,boat, play Frizby Golf, etc. It is located on a chain of lakes that the indians used to portage their canoes between rivers.
