This house is amazing and ornate. The staff are the most friendly people, you can tell they like volunteering there. The tour is great, you learn some Akron history, and it’s located on campus so it’s great for something to do that doesn’t take a...More

I could have done this tour on my own, at my own pace, and appreciated it more because the docent did not seem to be aware of the details that would have helped make this tour special. I guess these people are unpaid. However, if leading...More

Went here for an event at The University of Akron and it was very nice. It is a very old house and has beautiful woodwork and decor. It is nice for a cocktail hour event and right by campus.

The Hower House is one of the oldest house in Akron. Once owned by the Hower family, it is now the site of weddings, fund raisers and tours. The rooms are decorated in the same manner as they once were. History buffs will enjoy this.
