It was our first trip to The Nightlight and it won't be our last. We went to see "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" We arrived early and were able to park on the street. Before the show started, one of the gentlemen working there spoke...More

The Nightlight Cinema offers indy movies, snacks and a full bar in an intimate setting in downtown Akron. It is ridiculously cool to have this kind of access in a small-ish city. It's actually a non-profit arts organization. I've been many times and always enjoyed...More

The Nightlight Cinema is small but intimate. This is my favorite Indy theater. They run great films in an intimate setting. They have great seats, great events (like meeting the producer), and great snacks. This is truly what the cinema experience should be.

This is a little gem of a theater, showing top notch independent films. The lobby offers a sofa and little tables with candles. Soft drinks and alcohol are served, along with snacks you don't ordinarily find in theaters (Jeni's ice cream!). If you enjoy independent...More

Wonderfully pleasant place for indie films and thoughtful fare. Nice to be greeted by a human in a movie theater. Just hope this place prospers - it's a real asset for downtown Akron. While parking can be a bit of a problem (like any downtown),...More

Could have gone to see the same flick at Montrose googleplex, and glad we did not. Greeted by some good humored dudes, after being asked "are we at the Cedar-Lee?" Good to see a place like this in Akron, you can read the other reviews....More
