Sauder Village is Ohio's Largest living history destination with costumed guides in historic homes and shops in a walk through time experience from 1803 - 1920's Talented artisans and craftsman blending skill and creativity in fiber, wood, glass and clay. Stay at the Sauder Heritage Inn or Campground and enjoy a delicious meal at the Barn Restaurant and homemade backed goods a the Doughbox Bakery. The Historic Village is open seasonally from late April to late October.

This experience might have been enjoyable however 1100 children bused in ruined it. The teachers are kidding themselves if they think any of those noisy impolite little darlings had one ounce of curiosity and cared one whit about this country and its history. Very sad...More

The kids had a great time, but the weather turned bad and we weren't able to ride the horse buggy... They had cancelled the train, too but when the rain subsided and the sun dried things up a bit, they started it back up. Still...More

A fun living-history outing for the whole family. The herb shop and the General market are my favorite stops, but you can also take a train ride (for a couple dollars extra), watch glass-blowing and broom-making, and walk through hundred-year-old houses with costumed guides. Oh,...More

My daughter (age 9) and I visited here during a special Laura Ingalls Wilder event. We had a great time exploring all the buildings and houses. A highlight (although the line was terribly long) was making a rag doll.

We usually spend about 4-5 hours here, starting at about 10:00 am and leaving around 2:00 pm.

Yes a warm weather activity. A bit of walking though it is a level senior should be able to handle it easily
