This visit to Grandpa's sees more and more expansion of the building and what they sell. The building is being worked on the outside and the inside seems more spacious as some cheeses are being pre-cut and sold in order to keep the logjam of customers more at bay. The service is always great and despite the internet age,Grandpa's still... More

My whole family loves to visit Grandpa's Cheesebarn. From blueberry cheddar cheese to habanero pickles, to soft baked buckeye cookies, there is something for everyone. Every visit we sample at least 10 different cheeses, we sample jam, dips, pickles and get giant cookies on our way out the door. After visiting the Cheesebarn you must go across the parking lot... Then you must stop here. If you love beef jerky of all types, you must stop here. Wow. You will not regret stopping in. The entire upper level of Grandpas cheese barn is cheese. Also, just down the street across the hwy is the greatest rest stop in the State.

We arrived almost an hour from closing on a Friday. Most of the employees were ready to leave, they were sweeping, wiping down, and picking up all samples right out of your hand. We ordered a sandwich and drink, there was over 30 minutes remaining at that time, and continued to shop. The sandwich was fresh and tasted great, no... More

Being new to Ashland, I am unaware of a place as fun as this in the area. It's easy to spend money here, sure - even a bit pricy, but it's a ton of fun. However I did have a couple criticisms. The counter help was wonderful and friendly, but the floor help, one fella in particular - dismissed my... More

We frequently talk about stopping at Grandpas on our way to and from family visits in Columbus, so I'm glad we finally were able to stop. The selections of meat and cheese were endless. The lunch sandwiches were huge (wraps on the smaller side). A lot of unique gifts throughout the store. The staff was fantastic! Highly recommend a visit... More

We took advantage of the free cheese samples, most of which proved excellent, and then bought a wonderful Fontinella. The sweets in the store also tempted mightily. Friendly staff also enhanced the experience. Great place for a half hour stop!

Thank John L
