I've always loved blown glass. Gathering Glass produces a lot of commercial glass products, but also holds classes and workshops as well as renting shop time to individuals. My wife bought me an introductory class for Christmas. Keith there did a great job of explaining what we were going to do to create my own ornament and then helping me through the process. His instructions were very clear and helpful and he helped me feel at ease around the intense heat of molten glass. I loved the challenge of doing something very different and the ornament turned out very well. Something completely different to do for those visiting Ashland Shakespeare Festival. Highly recommended.

We like the small gallery and were tickled the time we stopped in while a class was in progress. It was fun to watch the glass blowing.

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to take two different glass-blowing courses at Gathering Glass Studio in Ashland. It was great to learn more about the passion and art behind this demanding craft and really fun to experience the camaraderie and team-work that the team at GGS demonstrate on a daily basis. Their participation in Ashland's monthly First Friday art walks also adds a welcome touch of the dramatic, and especially on colder winter nights is lots of fun!

Gathering Glass Studio isn't just a shop for beautiful, handmade glass items. It is also the workshop where there items are made. Go into the back and, if you're lucky, they will be blowing and forming the glass at that time. If you have any interesting in fused, molten glass, this is a place to visit while in Ashland.

Go when they are making glass items with their hot ovens. Very friendly and nice glass items they make for sale.

We took our granddaughter with us to visit the studio. The glass bowing demo fascinated her. The owner and his co-workers are welcoming and spend time with their customers and handblown glass is always a pleasure to see.

We love to hit this store to browse their latest GORGEOUS pieces of glass, and to watch actual glass blowing in the shop. The craftsmen are always willing to answer questions and explain what they are doing.

We not only enjoyed browsing all the beautiful and creative pieces but planned our visit to coincide with a demo and found it very interesting and educational. Very nice, helpful staff, too.

We were walking down the street and came upon this glass studio. We spent a good hour there (in October) looking at the glass work in various colors shaped like pumpkins. I brought at least 4 to bring home as gifts which were well received. It is a family owned business and they do ship. You should make this a stop on your tour of Ashland.
