We were surprised at how much we enjoyed our visit to the Horseshoe Curve. Six long freight trains came through in less than 30 minutes during our Saturday afternoon visit. Make sure to pick up a free train schedule in the gift shop. The times...More

Loved the ability to watch trains close up and found the history of the tracks interesting. There is a little museum, gift shop, and a small incline that takes visitors up close to the tracks, which are still in use. We were there for about...More

We really enjoyed stopping by and are glad we paid the admission fee to walk to the top. I think $8 per person is too high however. You don't actually get to see the aerial view of the tracks that are shown in most photos...More

Words can not describe this place. This was once called the eighth wonder of the world. If you like to watch trains, this is the place. 50 trains on average go by here each day. If you want a taste of what you'd see here,...More

If you are a train fan a must go. But it’s either a long trek up the stairs or a funicular on the hour and half hour. It is only open till 6. Impressive feat of engineering. Amazing view.

We lucked out because there were two freight trains approaching from opposite directions. They met right where we were standing. People who gave one star reviews are being ridiculous. Yes, you have to pay 10 or $11 for admission. However that also includes a museum...More

We stopped here on a whim and I am so glad we did. It's a beautiful view. We got to see 3 trains go by and it was super exciting. There is an incline you can ride up or many, many, many steps. If you...More

There is a stair case right to the top that you can use at will and a cable car that runs every 30 minutes. I can't see a way to escape the admission fee. You could get caught by a worker.

you can use the funicular which runs every 30 minutes or take the stairs (194) to the top. The funicular is included in your admission price to the HSC.
