Something to do

Okay thing to do. Only walked over because we were at the Barn for breakfast. I wouldn't go out of my way.

It's right against the baseball backstop. Parking is right along the road. Truly one of those unique things to see if you are in the area.

Two chicken farmers in Little Compton, RI and its minuscule village of Adamsville were perhaps America's first ptactioners of genetic engineering. In the 1700s, they conceived the Rhode Island Red Hen, the forbear of all brown eggs.

A cute little town that is a slice of early Americana. We did drive by the monument several times before we saw it!!! Our fault. Expecting a big chicken I guess. But worth a very big laugh at ourselves.

BUt if your are not, it is no big deal UNLESS you care a lot about chickens. It's a small plaque with chicken on it. More fun to watch the little league gamebehind it if the kids areplaying. HOmetown USA with views of salt marsh out to the river.
