My wife and I were travelling through Abilene and needed a break so we stopped at the Frontier Texas Museum. We are glad we did. Very interesting and well done. We loved the interaction and stories that were presented.
Tells the story of the native peoples and European settlement of Texas very well. Good usage of a/v tech. A well priced 90 minutes. However, younger children will be bored. Good for adults, teens, and middle schoolers who appreciate history. Everyone else, you'd probably be...More
Have been there a number of times and and, it is very well done. Holograms were pretty new to me. They are fantastic. Very professional and unique. I especially enjoy the gunfight and also the stampede and weather production in the theater.

Thanks PaulAbilene_Texas for the great review! We appreciate you for taking the time to post a review.

Visited with family. Kids range from 6 to 17.
Everyone had a good time. Some of the displays were too close together and it was hard to hear one if the other was running.
Glad we went but we wouldn't do it twice

If you are travelling with elementary aged kids, then 2 hours is the minimum. Look at all the hologram spirit guides and don't miss the last film near the exit. All spirit guides return to tell their story. That film is about 10 minutes. Adults could get through this in an hour if time is short.
