While visiting Austin, my husband and I were excited to visit the museum and see the exhibit on Propaganda which focused on Hitler. It was easy to access and there was $8 prepaid parking underneath or metered street parking. The beautiful entry was inviting and majestic, they offered discounts for AAA, seniors and students. Unfortunately, we did not have time... More

This museum is a jewel bringing you Texas history close. Changing exhibits keep you coming back. Even if you only have a short time to spend there see one of their IMAX or interacting movies.

The prices for watching movies in the local IMAX in the museum are very well priced and a great value!

Texas has had an interesting history, and this museum covers a LOT of ground. There are many different kinds of exhibits to interest everyone in the family. The featured exhibit when we went it was a recovered exploration ship - very cool. There are many rooms and exhibits to check out and visit. Don't miss the Nasa room and the... More

The building itself is worth a visit to this museum but what you come away with in learning the history of Texas is priceless. The 16 minute film on the history of Texas was worth the extra money as it was more of a visual arts performance. Three full floors filled with different components of Texas history will keep your... Like the state it represents, the museum is large and diverse. We especially liked the special exhibit on the Power of Propaganda. Given time constraints, we were not able to spend a lot of time at the other exhibits, but they gave an informative display of the panorama that is Texas, its geography, and its people. Wonderful place for the... More

When visiting our son in Austin for Christmas we visited the museum. It had a special exhibit on Propaganda in the Third Reich. Really an excellent exhibit. The standing collection gives an excellent review of Texas' history.

It's pretty cool if you're truly really into the history. Not really anything too exciting for kids.

The Bullock Museum does an outstanding job of summarizing the history and story of Texas. The museum is well-laid out, the design of the exhibits is top notch. This serves as great overview of history and of Texas's place in the larger context of U.S. history. None of the actual artifacts stood out as amazing pieces, but overall the museum... More
