Need to work on their hours
Oct 2016 • Friends
Good beer, good price for the three beers and glass but they need to work on their hours for the tap room. 11A to 3PM makes no sense to me but I don't own the place.

A friend suggested that I go give it a try. It is away from downtown towards the so-called Beer Trail and Fredericksburg. This brewery with all the authenticity and many great tasting beers is open only on Saturdays. Nice place to sit outside. All local crowd. Got a taste of all beers for $10 and some more that I liked. I liked Doctor Brown.

Fun place

The Man Friend and I stopped in for a beer tasting. We really enjoyed the winter seasonal ("Christmas in a bottle"). We came in right before several beer tours, so there wasn't a lot of interaction with the staff, who seemed friendly enough.

Stopped by the brewery Saturday, 12 March. For $10, you get a souvenir pint glass and 3 pours of the beer.

Limited hours and beers.
Jul 2015 • Friends
Only down side are the limited hours to visit and also wish they would have some of the beers other than what you see in the grocery stores to market the other beers they have. Other then that...was fun...very crowded and limited parking. $10 fof 3 beers and glass to keep. Will try again.

Great brewery but minimal hours open to the public

Thirsty Planet is one of many local Austin breweries you can visit...if you're around on a Saturday between 11 and 3. I know they are a full production brewery but this is a very small window of opportunity to visit. That being said, it is worth going to. Good tour, nice people. Great beer of many varieties. Texas recently made it legal for breweries to sell full pints on site. Some have embraced this model but others, like Thirsty Planet, still do the ticketed model where you get a certain amount of half-pours for one flat price. I'm not sure which is really a better value but you do get to try more beer with several half-pours.

Great Brewery & Hang Out Spot
Jun 2015 • Friends
Thirsty Planet brews up some great beers - Thirsty Goat & Double Bucket Head are my favorites. You have the option to purchase a logo pint glass for $10. This come with 3 fills or you can also get smaller samples for free. They also have a seasonal beer for you to sample. They offer a guided tour of the brewery & explain the brewing process - very cool. Dog friendly & a cool place to spend a Saturday afternoon. They are open Saturday from 11:00 - 3:00. Plenty of swag available for purchase.
