Great skiing conditions - they had about 40" less than usual this year but got about of foot of snow the day before we arrived so conditions were just fine. Views are spectacular, many neat hangouts for snacks, drinks as well as shopping.

Perfect snow, great lifts, great views. Awesome! The staff was super nice, the snow was great. The lines were short. Everything was perfect. We had a perfect day skiing there. My kids would have liked to have snowboarded there, but that's life.

I drove up to Alta in June. Even though it was not ski season, the drive was beautiful. It took about an hour to get to the end, but I did stop along the road a few times to enjoy the creek that flows down...More

The powder here is the best in North America. This resort is a must visit and much better snow than over the hill at Park City. For a skier this is heaven especially through the trees

Alta is sweet, it feels very retro and there is nothing wrong with that. There are some great areas I would love to explore more, particularly the bowl on the backside and Catherine's Area. The snow didn't hold up well enough for that in our...More

We love Alta. there was a lot of snow but no powder. We still had fun. We like to eat at Alf's and you should always get a pizza from Gold Miner's Daughter at least once while you are there.

Great skiing. Several different lodges to choose from. You can ski over to the Snowbird side of the mountain. The runs are long and fun. There are runs for every level of skier. Food is very pricey...to be expected I guess. Overall great place. Our...More

Alta is one of the best ski areas right up there with Jackson Hole. Amazing expert terrain. Great snow conditions. Mineral Basin on the backside provides an entirely separate area to enjoy bowls, chutes and cliffs. Not an area for beginner skiers. Snowboarding not allowed....More

If you are visiting the Salt Lake area for skiing, this one is a must! Short lift lines, great skiing experience. Various options for all levels of skiers. Higher altitude than many of the resorts so great snow, pretty much no matter what. Locals swear...More

I cannot wait to ski the mountain, but beginners beware this is a very challenging mountain. The conditions are amazing.

Alta seems to be a little more advanced, I would hesitate to take my family there that doesn't do steep and fast. Same with Snowbitd.
