We are a small Virginia Farm Winery located in Abingdon on the far southwest side of Virginia near the Tri-Cities of Bristol, Johnson City and Kingsport, TN. We acquired 53 acres of land in this beautiful area and thought we would do something to keep us healthy, active and creating something. We began planning our 10 acre vineyard in 1997; planted our first 500 plants in 1998 and completed our 6000 plants by 2001. Our main grape varieties are: Cabernet Franc, Riesling, Chardonel, Traminette, Pinot Noir, Norton, Chambourcin, Viognier. Our first fermentation began with our year 2000 harvest. We have a pleasant, rustic atmosphere. We opened our tasting room June 1, 2001, and are now open from March 15 to December 15, Tues-Sat,10am-6pm AND Sundays 12-6pm. We are closed every Monday and Thanksgiving during that time span. Come try our wines and enjoy the quiet serenity of the area and friendly, comfortable hospitality.

It's a little far out of the way, but the drive is beautiful! i've been here several times and each time the wines are delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating and their Appalachian Sunset is my favorite regional wine. The setting is beautiful with a river running alongside. The location near the Virginia Creeper Trail is gorgeous and they offer a beautiful picnic area. They offer tasting six wines for $5 and you choose the wines you are interested in from their extensive list. We enjoyed every wine we tried and really enjoyed talking with the owners. When the 8 bottles we bought are gone, we will definitely... More

Beautiful grounds and great wine! Owners were extremely nice and very knowledgeable on wines as well as the winemaking process. Trimanette was our favorite!

Located amongst the beautiful woods by a creek, with outdoor seating to enjoy several different wines and cheeses, amongst accessories and souvenirs to choose from. A great variety of wines to select and taste. A must to visit on your travels through Abingdon Va.

We stopped in on our way to Abingdon after riding the VA Creeper trail. It is on the way and a nice place to stop in. We enjoyed tasting several of their wines and I liked that they featured several varietals that were developed in this area. The location is beautiful and they had several outdoor seating arrangements so you... More

People who like visiting vineyards will love visiting this vineyard located in an idyllic, wooded setting along a rushing stream. The owners/hosts are most welcoming and informative. The setting is informal, warm and low-key. We've enjoyed every visit that we have made to Abingdon Vineyard. Don't miss an opportunity to visit!

We visited the winery the day before embarking on the Virginia Creeper Bike Trail. The winery is perfectly situated next to a babbling brook and with the fall colors just starting to turn, it made for a wonderful side trip. That said, the Winery has a huge selection of wines and between my wife and me we were able to... More

This winery is a must visit. The tastings were enjoyable and we bought several bottles to take home with us. As with many other TripAdvisor reviews, we most enjoyed the Cabernet Franc. I would definitely visit again and bring a picnic to enjoy on the lovely grounds. A wonderful stream at the bottom of the hill and mountain views create... More
