Cardinal Point is ideally situated within view of the Rockfish Gap, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Skyline Drive in Nelson County, Virginia. We take great pride in creating high quality, delicious, and food-friendly wines. But we take the most pleasure in creating wines that showcase our specific terroir, our winemaker's unique creativity, and put a smile on our customer's faces.

We were referred here by a server at another Winery, so we had high hopes. We were let down. The wines are not even marginal. Most are sweeter than we like and the most have some funky barreling processes that did not suit our palates. The dog was the highlight of the winery.

Our server was so knowledgable on the wines. Guided us on what notes she gets and seemed to really enjoy what she was doing. They offer dry wines and a semi sweet Chardonnay. There's one they won't let you sample, it's $30 a bottle- but out of curiosity I had to buy it. For my boss. I hope she enjoys... More

We spent a couple hours here on a Friday afternoon to kick off a birthday celebration. They have a great outdoor space and we loved the Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot - delish!!

After stopping at two of the "trendy" wineries in the area, we stopped here. Less crowded and the bartenders doing the wine tasting actually knew their stuff! We ended up staying for a couple of glasses and took three bottles home. Great place!

The Farm house at the top of the hill makes for a beautiful scenery. Even in the rain looking at the hills and vineyard was so majestic. Great place for a small wedding, family reunion, or just a big group of friends. The winery has excellent red and white wines. The owners are very accommodating to help you with your... More

This is my second time at this winery, I came back because I enjoyed the wine I purchased on my first trip. I enjoyed tasting last years wine. Purchased a few bottles. The hostess made an excellent restaurant recommendation for supper. Will return when I am in the area.

Mixed reactions to this visit. It is a nice setting. But the tasting room around the edges is filthy. Just don't look. Do what you went there for -- taste the wines. Some interesting wines to sample. One in particular is a hopped Chardonnay. Why? Because they could. To me this gets away from wine making to beverage making --... More

We visited this winery and a few others while in the Afton area. While their wines were solid, there was nothing very memorable about this winery. Good wines, but nothing memorable. It's worth a stop in you're nearby, but I wouldn't plan a trip to just this winery.

We arrived late in the afternoon but were still welcomed and given a good tasting session by the knowledgeable lady server. Free tasting if you buy a bottle of wine. Not a big tasting room but nice and unusual wines.

Friendly servers in a nice rural setting. Free tastings for military and teachers! Cabernet Franc recently won an award and it was well deserved. A cellar selection to wait on for a few years.
