Wetlands operated by Fairfax County. Enjoy a peaceful walk through the woods, surrounded by wildlife. The woods open up to a boardwalk which winds it's way through the wetland, a haven for all sorts of fowl......At no cost !

This is a lovely park with a boardwalk over the wetlands. We always see turtles here, but have also seen frogs, snakes, fish, and lovely birds. Lovely escape into nature.

I was ingressing. It's a park. big ducks, harbor, I have great photos of the harbor area. nice landscaping. people don't pick up the dog poop there. I was surprised. Maybe it's a Western States thing?

This is a great place to see wildlife close to the city. Boardwalks over the water get you close. It is different every time you go.

Beautiful scenes. The wood planks on the bridge and walkways over the water are slippery when wet otherwise, this place is great for running and just walking with kids. They can find turtles and birds. And the reeds and grasses are really lovely in the...More

This is a lovely park & walking path in Alexandria...but you feel miles away from urban areas. Unique birds, wetlands & nice visitors' center. So peaceful. I've enjoyed every visit here & have seen many bird species!
