We recently attended the Teen Driving Solutions course at VIR and were impressed with the venue. We spent our time on the skid pad, the Patriot course and one of the buildings in the South Paddock. The Patriot course pavement was smooth and the course was challenging. The skid pad could use some attention / new pavement. The classroom space... More

What an amazing facility. I stayed in the Villas. The space is unbelievable. The VIR staff were accommodating. We ate dinner at the main restaurant. The buffalo cauliflower was amazing. The veggies and tofu was not so much!! Everyone else loved their food, sea bass, pecan crusted chicken, etc.

I have attended races at most of the great road courses in the US and Canada. This was my first visit to VIR and I found the course in total to be a great racing site with challenging turns and good elevation changes. The open paddock is great. There is a first rate store near the paddock with truly useful... More

VIR knows how to host a race weekend. This was a NASA event on Saturday and Sunday following one of the track sponsored Track Daze on Friday. They have lodging facilities as well as power all throughout the pit area. Plus, a gorgeous location.

I have always wanted to go to VIR and i recently attended HYPER-FEST. I was very impressed!! I don't think there is a bad spot to sit and watch a race. The one thing I took away from my time at this track is that because it has lots of places to watch from and hills I will make sure... More

First time back to VIR since the early 70s. They have done a wonderful wonderful job bringing the track back to life. All the guards and workers were very kind and helpful. There are lots of good spectating areas and we really do enjoy the picnic tables. Such a shame to have lost the Oak tree but it looks like... More

Love this racetrack! Came here one morning with about ten more guys from work. We had a blast. They had scheduled the kart track for an hour, and believe me, one hour was more than enough. They allowed us to run three 20 minute races. After the second race, I had blisters on my hands from the steering wheel. We... More

The grounds are beautiful. The track is a driver's dream, full track 4.2 miles. Dining options include a concession stand offers breakfast and lunch and a tavern and pub for dinner. A variety of lodging is also available, from camping to rooms at the Lodge and Pitt Lane rooms, as well as the Villas. I've stayed at all of them.... More

This place deserves much less than 1 star, but fortunately for them 1 star is the least rating possible. Their website virnow.com says that they are open from Noon to 8pm Wednesday to Sunday. Since we live 2 hours away, I called up to confirm this. Nobody answered any of the phone extensions. Instead, you have to leave them your... More
