It's hard to believe it's been nearly 15 years since 9/11. But seeing this Pentagon memorial reminds us of what we lost that day and what we continue to fight for. The benches are designed beautifully and simply over a small lighted pond under each bench. The name of the victims from the Pentagon and the plane appear at the... More

Before going to the site, you should google the story of this memorial. It's incredibly beautiful and meaningful. We were so impressed how well these folks were honored.

Ten minutes walk from the Pentagon Metro subway station, this site is easy access. This memorial is a poignant reminder of the acts of craziness in our world. This site is made up of 184 (the deceased number) benches in the shape of an aeroplane wing with small pool of water under each bench along with red carnation. Each line... More

My family actually visited this memorial on the anniversary of the attacks in Sept 2015 just after the services on the site. To look up and around and imagine what it may have looked like on that fateful day is something that i will remember for a long time. The memorial is a beautiful and thoughtfully planned out experience and... More

A must see at night! The memorial lit up is breathtaking! It is definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately, I was unable to tour the inside, but a friend with children recommended that as well.

My cousin brought this memorial to our attention. Years ago you could park near the Pentagon now you need to park across the freeway in the shopping center and follow the signs to the tunnel under the freeway or go by Metro. Whe you get close you can use your cell phone for information. The direction of the benches -... More

A very meaningful memorial to those who lost their lives as a result of the airplane attack on the Pentagon on 9/11. As it is somewhat out of the way, visitors have to want to go there as there is no parking immediately near ... however, close to the Pentagon City mall there is parking -- free on the weekends/holidays.... Each time I visit the Pentagon, I get a unique opportunity to see this memorial to those who died on 9/11 at the Pentagon. The wave like benches point to either towards or away from the Pentagon representing those who died in the building or the plane. Photography is not allowed and only those who have access to the Pentagon... More

Great walk from Crystal City. Grab an info card located inside a freestanding box. Best to listen to audio app while walking thru the memorial. This memorial was laid out to honor all of those who lost their lives and audio explains the details. Photos of the memorial area are acceptable but do not point camera at the pentagon, no... More

I stayed in Pentagon City so it was a short walk from the hotel. I didn't know there was such a memorial. It is done very well! I went during the day and the evening. It's beautiful in both times.
