Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This park is not very well maintained. We are from out of town and decided to stop at this park to enjoy the great outdoors and play miniature golf. The miniature golf course is in need of repair. Also good customer services is dire need.

My son and I came to the mini golf course at 8:13 Saturday evening, June 4. The kid at the booth told us that his manager had directed him not to let any more people in, although the course did not look crowded and the hours are posted as open until 9.

I've enjoyed that course many times in the last 30 years or so and was looking forward to playing it again after the three-year lapse because of the pandemic. I don't think we'll be back.

What I will do is lobby against more tax appropriations for this park authority. If they won't let people enjoy it at advertised hours, what are we paying for?

The mini golf is not well maintained this year. There are quite a lot of weeds and no water in the small streams. It was not like this in previous yeas...

We had our first and 6th annual family and friends day here. I just love this place. You book your pavilion that will fit about 80 people. They have grills to cookout and the pavilion its perfect for a large or smaller event. The pool is just a few steps away along with the batting cage and miniature golf. The pricing is reasonable as well. If you just want to go for the day and just hit the pool that's great too but we like having the food cooked for everyone and reserving the pavilion allows you to cook on the grill. Love thisplase

Upton Hills has pretty much the only public pool for kids in Arlington. When they were between 5 to about 9 or 10, they really liked the slides and spray area. Now that they are older, the park is a little too young. In addition to the pool, there is a really fun mini-golf place that our family does like to do. Some of the holes are easy; others can be more challenging and creative. It's definitely worth the time just to hang out as a family. They also have batting cages that older kids and adults use. We haven't taken advantage of those.

Drove back to DC from shopping and I was curious about this little park in the wood amongh apartment buildings. The Upton Hill Regional Park is at the cross road of Willson Blvd, and Patrict Herry Street. The Park is situated in a small historic hill and provides most family oriented activities such as baseball camp, waterpark, putput golf, picnic area and small trails. Indeed good place in the heart of Arlington, VA

Like nearly all of the green spaces and parks in Arlington County, Upton Hills Regional Park offers individuals and families a place to walk, relax, play, and commune with nature. Mornings and evenings are the best times to hear bird songs or use the light for photography, as the heat and glare of the summer sun is a bit intense in the midday.

Growing up I've had a few birthday celebrations here and I enjoy coming back to visit and show my friends. The mini golf is fun and the pool is nice on a hot summer day It does tend to get crowded.

Take the High Road or the Low Road...both will go through Upton Hill Regional Park. The Park is an excellent location for Spring-Autumn sports (tennis, baseball, basketball, jogging) or just contemplating nature in all seasons, including winter. Four Mile Run gurgles past the Park on its trip to the Potomac River and affords toddlers and youngsters a chance to examine a pleasant little stream and its surroundings without any physical risks. From the Park, one can head off either east or west along the bike path, either for exercise, birding, or a nature walk that includes some of the morn tranquil parts of Arlington Country.

The batting cages are CHEAP!!! Seriously underrated feature. The mini-golf is great for kids, and the pool / splash park / water slides are very good for little kids (ages 3-9 or 10). The pool does get crowded though.
