Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful pedestrian park close to DCA airport and the Pentagon/Crystal City neighborhood. Airplanes can be seen taking off and landing

Long Bridge Park is not a scenic place with lots of landscaping and picnic facilities. Rather, it's an active park with an esplanade along the river and train tracks for walking and running, soccer and baseball fields, and a huge aquatic center at the end of the park. There is also a lot of history associated with the site, as a large Civil War fort was located here and it was a very active transit route into DC. It's a pleasant setting, but the reason to come here is to be active.

Stumbled on this by accident, but it is a nice place with several very nice ball fields, soccer, etc and a nice raised walking bridge. It will be expanded down to rejoin the Mt Vernon Trail. Fun place.

We are living in the area temporarily and visit this park often with our kids. They love the climbing features and all the open spaces. There are great soccer and footballs fields, a seasonal spray pad, and 2 playgrounds. The elevated walkway follows the train tracks. It is great for train lovers! There are also great views of Reagan National Airport and the Washington Monument. The park is very urban, not many trees. Parking is metered during the week. They do have a restroom. The park is within an easy walk from Crystal City and Pentagon City.

The sports grounds are first class and the area around provides good walking paths at half time during a game. The views over Washington at the moment are very good but this may not be the case when the new swimming pool is built.
This is a great facility for local teams and families but with all the other sights to see in the Washington area this would not be hear the top of my list if I were a visitor to the area.

Long Bridge Park is really just a few soccer/lacrosse fields, as opposed to a "park". There are restrooms, and s small spray park in season, but it's not a park in the true sense of the word.

Crystal City at the initail developlent is to built a concrete town with shops underground or all connected without seeing the sky. Of late, Crystal City is trying to make a different of the feeling, more green and more above ground. Long Bridge Park is one of the great development in Crystal City to focus on green, park, recreation for people who come to visit, work, or live here. Great park with many greens, ball fields and treking path (the bridge) for visitors. You can see the view of D.C. and the areas around using the bridge walkway.

We were staying in Crystal city at embassy suites over the 4th and didn't want to deal with crowds on national mall for fireworks. I asked front desk if they could recommend spot within walking distance to watch fireworks displays. They suggested Long Bridge Park. Very nice view of Washington monument and the fireworks. Seem like the spot locals came. Lots of soccer fields and walking path. We were back at hotel 20 mins after last firework.

I don’t play soccer but this park has one of the most incredible soccer fields I’ve ever seen. I walked the length of Long Bridge Park — probably a 1/2 mile each way — and it offers great views of Reagan national airport and the trains that passed by parallel to the park. New modern clean and wonderfully sculpted. A treasure in the middle of crystal city!

A well-used park by Arlingtonians - however, nice path around if you want a little exercise and a good view of the city. Just watch the temperature if traveling in the summer. It gets very hot and there is little shade.

Can you walk to The Smithsonian mall from this park?

Yes, it would be about a 4.0-mile walk. It's much faster to take the metro or bus.
