Take the riding road up through the forest to the viewing area atop Mt. Erie. There are many different areas to park. The views are amazing, down to the marina, to the Tesoro Tank farm, to tankers waiting to be loaded or unloaded. Each way...More

We drove up there to enjoy the views. Two young people fell to their deaths, so now there are well defined areas from which to see the views. Please hold young children by your hand. The view towards the refineries is limited because of the...More

A bit of a drive up a winding road, but once you are at the top there are a number of places to get a good view. The best views are on the South side, where there is a little area with a railing and...More

This is a great park for it's views of Fidalgo Island and Anacortes. Not a lot of parking and if you really want a workout try to ride a bike up to the top! Sadly the lookout deck areas are not ADA compliant and there...More

We drove up to the top of Mt Erie just for the views, and if that is your intent, I wouldn’t bother. Very heavily wooded windy road, with a small parking lot at the top, but unfortunately, the tall fir trees block any real view....More

Couldn’t see Mt Baker, since it was a hazy day, but views of islands were great. Porta-potty at top was worst I’ve ever seen, (& I’ve seen a lot!). Be sure & do all three viewpoints at top. Road was just fine on dry, summer...More

We drove to the top and walked around a little bit. A word of caution - I would be very, very careful bringing young kids here. Be sure not to go anywhere near the steep drop-offs. There is a plaque warning of this, but I...More

It's a steep, narrow road to get to the top, but easy to navigate. There are two viewpoints with paved walkways and steps and railings, but the best view is a few steps back down the roadway. You have to scramble over rocks without a...More

This park has wonderful hiking and riding (horse and bike) trails with views of the surrounding area possible from rocky outcroppings. If you want to drive to the top of the mountain, you can skip the hiking and enjoy lovely views. Selecting the right trails...More
