We didn't have much time to explore Washington Park but I'm so glad we did. It was surprisingly quiet for the middle of vacation season. Make sure you drive the loop through the park. There are so many great places to stop and enjoy the view. We found a place to stop and take the staircase down to the beach.... More

Great park. Love coming here with kids. Beach with boat landing, place for playing on the lawn and a wonderful loop road that can be driven or walked out around the edge of the park. Truly a beautiful piece of the world.

After checking out of our hotel and finishing up at the fair, we went out to the park. We decided to drive the loop trail and pull out at some turnouts. I can't count the number of times my wife and I remarked on the fact this is a city park. The stops we made were well worth the time... More

This is a gem of a park which has a boat launch, beach, tide pools, benches to enjoy the ocean view along with a quiet scenic walk, drive, or bike. There is also a campground for paid use. The approximately 2 miles long and provides scenic views, majestic trees and spectacular ocean views. It is located near the ferry terminal... More

Washington Park was an unexpected surprise in the midst of Anacortes. The locals seem to use it for their daily walks and bike rides. It was a little more work than I would like for the bike riders, but if you are fit, it is for you. We just drove around the one way road and enjoyed the many views... More

Biking, walking, whatever, Washington Park gives you lot's of options for an easy 2 mile hardtop loop or you can wander off on the many paths and push yourself as hard as you like. Hard to get lost. Short little walks off the trail get you a series of fabulous expansive views.

A beautiful oasis just ten minutes from downtown Anacortes. Pack a lunch and enjoy the beautiful views from one of the picnic areas along the "loop" road.

This was one of our favorite parts of visiting Anacortes and the San Juan Islands. Actually liked it better than the islands. Hiking was great and the views wonderful. I would recommend parking before you enter the loop and hike on some of the interior trails to the top.

We were visiting Anacortes on our motorcycles and we were told by friends that we should go to Washington Park. We drove the loop and stopped at a few places along the way. A great drive and lovely park. The locals are very fortunate.

Used to be named "Sunset Beach" for good reason! Great place for families, dogs, and trail walks, too.
