This lake and swimming area is pretty much in the center of the island and in a large wooded area. I only had time to spend a half hour and take a few pictures but it was beautiful.

Quiet little lake accessed by some great trails, or a not so easy road to find. Winter is one of my favorite times to see the lake, frozen over at times too

We went to this park for a quick hike. It was an easy hiking trail with all kinds of hidden gems. The lake is peaceful as well. Very nice little retreat for anyone looking for something quick and easy to take the family to do.

This lake is like walking into a postcard. The towering evergreens surrounding the lake will make you feel so small. The serenity will leave you feeling stress free and the clean air and sparkling water is why this area is a must see!

We camped out near the lake and the sunset was breathtakingly beautiful. By far one of the nicest places we have traveled. It stayed mild temperature wise the entire time.

Nestled among the firs and cedars, within the city limits of Anacortes, lies this little-known gem. Recently a wild fire damaged some of the forest surrounding the lake, but don't let that deter you from enjoying the peaceful trail leading up to Cranberry Lake.

This is a great little hike around a local lake. It wasn't too crowded. Note that there are a lot of roots sticking up along the trail, so you need to watch where you walk, and in some areas the trail narrows and goes really...More
