The visitor's center had some great information, but definitely pay the extra for the steamboat tour. It's really interesting to see how the boat was used throughout history

Only open a couple of days a week. If you really want to get on and explore this sternwheeler be sure you plan in advance for a day and time they are open.

The tour of the snag pat was interesting and well worth the time. The guide was well informed and provided a good explanation of the functions of the boat as well as history of the area.

Loved the "snag boat"! Great place to take the family. The boat is on the shore now, but has a great history and the signage explains it all.

The museum itself has a lot of artifacts about transportation on our waterways from Puget Sound to Alaska and the W.T. Preston is one of only 2 "snag boats' left in the U.S. A guide walks you though the steam powered paddlewheeled boat and describes...More
