The castle itself is not something that is tremendously interesting, but it sits at the top of the park, and provides a nice focus for a walk in the park.

As I was leaving Hamamatsu, I decided to visit here, and I was surprised to see so many people visiting the castle and park at sunset. There's a lot of history here, and I wish I could have taken more time at the castle.

[Easy access] You can walk from JR Hamamatsu station. It takes about 15 minutes. Almost flat route. [Outline] Castle tower is not original one, but the stone wall seems to be the original from Edo era. It...More

This Castle is not very far from Hamamatsu station. So one can walk or take a cycle ride till there. Best time to visit it in Sakura season.
