Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A really nice mosque right in the middle of Shkodër that you should definitively not miss. Make sure to dress appropriately (not sure if women actually need a Hijab but better safe than sorry) and not go there during prayer times. We also liked the interior a lot!

No doubt, this mosque was quite photogenic. But, my hotel was right next to the mosque. Right at 5am, the prayers were called over the outdoor speakers. You do not need an alarm clock in this town.

Definitely a really nearly put together mosque in the heart of Shkoder. The design is fairly new and modern, with beautiful vibrant colors.

Interesting building.

We were encouraged to enter by a family and were allowed to watch the father teaching his child from the Koran.

Photogenic from without by day and by night, it's also worth venturing into during the day (outside prayer times, of course) to admire the understated but beautiful dome.

On Day 2 of my visit, this mosque was still closed. I just took pictures of its exteriors with the hope that I can visit its interiors before I leave Shkodra.

After checking in at my hotel, I started my tour of the city of Shkoder. Due to its height, I decided to follow the road leading to this attraction.

It appeared to be closed during my visit. It is located very near the pedestrian street where shops, hotels, and restaurants can be found.

I took several pictures before moving on. I intend to see its interiors before I leave Shkoder.

The large Ebu Bekr Mosque, which is the focal point of the local Muslim community, dominates Shkoder's city centre.Built on the side of old an Ottoman Mosque , the current mosque was built in 1995 with funds from Saudi Arabia and Egypt and the official name is Sheik Zamil Abdullah Al -Zamil Mosque. The Ebu Bekr Mosque has been extensively renovated in 2008. The inside is bright yet a bit plain .

Beautiful place with a great architecture. Very friendly persons and a calm place in the middle of a big city. It is known more commonly to locals as the Great Mosque. It dates back from the 18th century, but was fully renovated and refaced in 1995 with donations from Saudi Arabia. Take a look inside as visitors are welcome to enter outside prayer time to see the beautiful interior and enjoy the contemplative atmosphere.

The mosque is very easy to spot in the city centre of Shkoder, I didn't go inside but I went into the garden to visit it.
