This is our beach

Living only 3 blocks from this beach makes it our beach with a lot of vendors and locals. Good snacks and cold beer can be found at any one of many small beachside restaurants.

A very beautiful beach to enjoy nature, watch sunset, have a walk.. BUT not to swim and NOT in the weekends because it will be crowded as HELL .. And of course avoid the beggars!

Beach along the Maceió city center coastline boulevard. Nice for walking, there is some shade along the walkway and bicycle lane. Also several restaurants and small shops where you can buy refreshments. Not good for swimming/bathing.

We loved this beach. There was always a place to sit and there were beers readily available. The surf was good for swimming and surfing.

Who knew Maceio to 10 years ago is very disappointed with the amount of accumulated garbage on the beaches of Maceio. How sad! Sera that the department of the environment not seen the beaches? Does the City of Maceio not ashamed to have such beautiful beaches within the city, but so filthy? There are pipes dumping sewage on the beaches... More

I belive this beach area was north of ponta verde, whcih is the area we liked the most. we found that jatiuca beach was cleaner and offered a a brighter greenish- blue hue. the area sourrounding the beach also semed quiet and tranquil, so you could put your guard down a bit and relax

Maceió is about 1 million inhabitants, and is the Capital City of Alagoas state, and Jatiúca Beach is located in the heart of the coastline of the city. The coral reef grows thinner in this area, so there are some waves when the tide is high, but it's safe to swim. There are good restaurants by the beach and in... More
