I made the Vale do Pati trip (3 days) in the park. The price was 350 reals per person per day... until I realised some people had paid 200 reals for exactly the same. There is no real competition between the guides agencies and all prices are very high : beware ! Te trek itself was a lot of efforts,... More

My boyfriend and I took a shot in the dark and contacted Extreme Eco Adventures about a 4 day hike through Chapada Diamantina's Pati Valley having no idea who they were or what separated them from the rest. We contacted many companies and all offered around the same rate for a private tour. The group options were nice, if you... More

We started the tour (3 days) from lençois and were very unhappy about it. Not all guides are good and if you are foreigner chances are that you get completley ripped off.. The prices are too high for what is offered on the tour (most guides want more than 100 dollars a day!), our guide was rude and there was... More

We spent 7 days here, we are only sorry that we couldn't stay more !!! The waterfalls, Lencois and the laid back hippy atmosphere, the food, the culture, the views and tours... Everything that you can imagine is in this National Park !! The only problem that we had was with the atms machines. they didn't always work and a... More

Incredible experience! Eric C. is correct when he says in his review that the park is hard to get to, especially if you are a foreigner. We stayed in Salvador for a couple of days when we first arrived in Brazil (and then again when we were leaving) and we hired a guide each time, which made all the logistics... More

Had incredible day with guide Dida Murta, who showed us around on the whole day tour. Absolutely worth getting up early to climb Pai Inacio, explore huge cave Lapa Doce, and swim in Pratinha and Poco do Diablo waterfall. Exciting and fun day, highly recommended!

If you're looking for an active few days it's worth coming lençóis. Azul fly here from Salvador twice a week. On the first day we stopped for a swim in some of the pools on the way to the tracks. How quickly you can relax completely standing under a warm crystal clear waterfall. There is so much to do here,... More

This national park is a rare, stunning gem. There are not many places left where you can see nature this spectacular while being still relatively untouched (dirt roads everywhere especially on the south end). But the park is extremely safe, the people are friendly, and I predict its only going to get more and more popular as word of mouth... More

A true reflection of Brazil... great potential, beautiful place but lots of problems. Lack of information, especially about the waterfalls in the southern part of the national park. No internal communication within the park. It's controlled by tour operators that only offer the typical tours and they discourage visitors to visit other more remote areas of the park. But the...
