Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place is very beautiful. The sea was a little rougher, but we managed to get in and enjoy it! We stayed at Barraca Brisa Mar and were well looked after by Mr. Pascoal, the fish bait and the passion fruit juice were delicious and the beer was cold!!! The only thing missing is a more tidy bathroom, but other than that, I recommend the tour and the Barraca.

When you arrive there, it is like you are in a movie. This village kept regional life and cultural. All village floor is covered by natural sand. You can see "jegue" walking freely on the "streets". There is one main tend in the middle of the village, where customers from all restaurants eat. Simple people and typical inner beach village. Beach is really beautiful and clean. Not crowded

This is where you have to go if you want to enjoy something more primitive and less touristy. The beach is beautiful, strong waves and only a walk away from the parking and restaurants. Locals depend on the tourism here and you will find art crafts and local food served in the tiny village. Certainly a place to enjoy peace.

Excellent option ! a rustic mud road gives access to a beautiful beach! An infrastructure with few stalls. At low tide we have a natural pool!

A small village with an exuberant view. The beach is very beautiful. We stayed at Imbassaí Beach and we went to Santo Antonio walking - 1,5h. Incredible this walking: no many people in the way, the fantastic sea and your mind!!!!!

My fiancee took me to this beach back in December '16 and I was simply awestruck by the simple natural beauty of the place. Hardly a soul around, and the weather was perfect.
We found tidal pools to relax in, pristine beaches to walk on, and quaint little beach bars where we could sit and enjoy a cold beverage. Time passed all too quickly that day !
I can't wait to go back again and make more wonderful memories.

Wonderful beach, with very few people, even during summer. Good for swimming specially in the low tide.

My favorite beach at Litoral Norte. If you are in Imbassaí,you can take a bus or drive until there around 15 min. There are some tents selling typical food and you can enjoy this beautiful paradise.

Beautiful beach. Requires car to get to. Dirt road to access beach. Good snacks in improvised local people bars by the beach.

This is the quietest beach between Praia do Forte and Costa de Sauipe. Great for solitude surf and sea view. You will encounter donkeys and goats from the village. It is a perfect place to be idle. Access is also a little difficult. Follow the signs from the village. Beach access is good for people who like to Hike especially from Costa de sauipe i.e. along the beach to the south west from the resort at costa de sauipe and around the first point there you are! Access from imbassai is a longer 30-45 minutes if you are walking and only try that at or near low tide when the beach sand is firm, a few hours later and you will have only soft sand dunes which will tire you on your trip. So set out a couple of hours before low tide and walk back a couple of hours after. That way your walk will be idyllic coming and going.

Infrastructure is Basic, i.e. modern public sanitation facilities essentially missing. The beach barracas are similarly basic but fun to talk to the owners and have a bottled water or beer, but I have never risked anything other than that.( If you want to eat go to a restaurant in the village, the best known being "Sombra de mangueira" in Diogo which is well worth the trip).
