This tiny Space is not corrélated to the immense photographic ressources from Pierre Verger and Brazilian siblings. Unique digitalised effort in salvador, great for kids, worth the 20reals fare. A parenthèsis from to the beach when the delicious fruty icecream sold by the friendly frenchman from across the street no longer feed your soûl.

I enjoyed this photographic exposition which is really a multi-media display by the sea in Barra. It is interactive and tells the stories of figures from the area. People who don't speak Portuguese can enjoy this photography easily.

On the ground floor of "Forte de Santa Maria" at Salvador's Porto da Barra, a small cultural espace honors French-Brazilian acclaimed photographer and etnographer Pierre Verger and Bahian's photography. It is opened from 11AM to 7PM daily, except on Tuesdays (closed), at a small fee. It offers an interesting portrait of Pierre Verger's works as well as of other important Bahian photographers. Check also for its temporary exhibitions. Enjoy!
