Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sister Dulce, today Saint Dulce of the Poor, canonized by Pope Francis, is a real case of miracles delivered by a fragile small woman who spent the life helping and curing dispossessed people. From scratch, she built a tremendous health center and hospital. If you come to Salvador, pay her a visit. Really emotional.

I always ask if someone wants to stop at irma dulce memorial as I consider a great opportunity to know a bit better the history of anjo bom da bahia. Highly suggest a guided tour ( private or volunteers in the memorial) as if you just visit without it might feel a bit disappointed.... for catholics is a must to visit, even the ones that do not have this faith might get impressed how someone could manage building the biggest hospital in the area with donations starting in a hen house of a catholic convent.....

Sister Dulce Memorial
A simple place, like Sister Dulce, reveals the story of a nun who dedicated her life to helping others. Today the 150-bed hospital receives no support from the City Hall or the State of Bahia and survives on incentives and donations.

The visit to the memorial helped me learn a lot about the life of Sister Dulce. The well illuminated and fabricated walls of the memorial museum housed multiple types of paintings, religious scriptures etc.

Short visit via Salvador bus. Had a 20 minute free tour of this place but could have stayed longer if we had time.
Watched a Portuguese film about this prior to going so understood some of her work. Clearly loved. Y her local community the museum is full of interesting things about her life and has a small church. If you are lucky there will be a service.

Really impressed by this unusual installation where her face is visible from 360 degrees as you move around it. tribute to someone who has done a lot of good in this run down area.

A little sad woman can change the world? Yes, she did it. Go there and know about this nun and hers remarkable work. Free of charges, but you will want let some tip for her charity.
